QHA 125 Years Anniversary Lunch
The days of public bars open only to men, the six o'clock swill and the great beer strike, SP bookies and the mythical one hundred pound block of land in the middle of Surfers Paradise, the QHA has been part of it all - proudly supporting the Queensland hotel industry for 125 years.
From early beginnings in 1885, the QHA was established by a group of hoteliers to lobby the government on taxation issues. Not much as changed 125 years on, and the QHA is still proudly run by hoteliers, for hoteliers.
The hotel industry has evolved, keeping pace with technology, social change and population growth. The way in which hotels are viewed, managed, regulated and patronized has undergone significant transformation, but traditional hospitality has never gone out of fashion.
2010 marks a significant milestone in the QHA's vibrant history - 125 years of dedicated service to Queensland hotels. To celebrate this occasion, you are invited to attend the QHA 125 Years Anniversay Lunch, to be held on Wednesday 18 August 2010, at the Brisbane Hilton Hotel.
Guests will enjoy a sumptuous lunch, top quality beverages and entertainment by The Doctor Scott Williams - a comedy routine you'll remember.
We look forward to welcoming you and your guests at this not-to-be-missed Queensland hotel industry event.
