HIGA: KNOW YOUR AWARD
- TRAINING ROADSHOW -
A number of terms and conditions in the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 (“HIGA”) will be varied in time for the 2020 new year. Those variations include:
- The introduction of competency based wage progression for apprentices
- The introduction of a new averaging mechanism of 76 hours per two week period
- Amendment of the Food and Beverage Grade 2 classification to include the new duty of “taking reservations, greeting and seating guests”
- New flexibility with the taking of time accrued from a public holiday as per clause 27.2(c) and 32.2(c)
